President & CFO Election Results

We are proud to announce that Colonel Dennis Dabney was elected President and Mr. Brad Leonard was elected as Chief Financial Officer. Both Gentlemen bring a wealth of logistics experience and many years of service to LOA. Dennis has been serving as our Chief Learning Officer and Brad has been serving as our CFO.

Is Your LOA Chapter L.I.V.E? We know there are many deserving LOA members who’ve devoted countless volunteer hours to education, mentorship and enhancing our professional development missions this last year. Has your chapter made innovations with education or outreach? Why not be recognized and share your successes.

Just like the 2015 Symposium theme, we will recognize those among us who have displayed Leadership, Innovation, Velocity and Excellence (LIVE). We invite you to recognize and share their story.

Please submit your Logistics Officer Association Award nominees IAW the LOA Guidance-5 directly to no later than 31 August 2015. It is best to send packages as PDF and minimize file sizes. Photos should be sent separately. The nomination committee will determine the winners by 15 September and the LOA National Board will announce during the 2015 LOA Symposium in Washington, DC, October 19-22, 2015.  Read entire article

It is our great pleasure to announce the 2015 National LOA Scholarship Program, which aims to build tomorrow’s logistics professionals. We know there are 100s of outstanding leaders within our ranks that deserve a helping hand and a “thank-you”. This includes our civilians, Airmen, NCOs, and junior officers. Just like the 2015 Symposium theme, we need “Leadership. Innovation. Velocity. and Excellence.”

An epic fail, if all you do is forward my note…go find a young quiet hard-charger and submit them. Supporting rising stars in their education is an important part of our LOA organization’s mission. Be part of that effort to create the next generation and select your Chapter scholarship nominees. More than a few years ago, a young maintenance officer did just that and helped change my life forever. I challenge you to help me pay it forward.

Please vet and submit your submissions IAW the attached LOA Guidance-3 directly to no later than 2 October 2015.  Read entire article
