2020 LOA Annual Awards Spotlight:
Sonoran Chapter – Mrs. Deb K. Tune Chapter of the Year (Medium)
Luke AFB, Arizona
The Sonoran LOA Chapter from Luke AFB, Arizona was named the 2020 Mrs. Deb K. Tune Chapter of the Year (Medium category). The chapter has been busy this past year, during an already challenging year. The Sonoran chapter put together 10 base events, accumulating 265 volunteer hours with 35 members to foster officer professional development. Chapter members utilized their connections from LOA to strengthen their alliance to establish swift preventative measures to mitigate COVID-19 during F-35 maintenance and flying operations. The chapter’s base and community outreach continued to expand, enabling initiatives for holiday packages to deployed Airmen and reaching out to partner and learn with joint-service logisticians on base.
The LOA Executive Board is proud of the Sonoran Chapter for their dedication and commitment to fostering professional development, networking, and continuing the tradition of using education and mentorship to sharpen Airmen’s ability to remain lethal, agile and ready for today’s fight.
We look forward to celebrating their achievement during the upcoming Virtual LOA Symposium scheduled 30 March – 2 April, 2021. Registration is now open and is FREE for Active Duty Military and Federal Government Employees. Sign up today! www.logisticsymposium.org
